Client project
Proposal
My client has a youtube channel and is looking for a new banner. I will be creating three different types of banners for him with the dimensions of 1546 x 423 pixels. The clients goes by the name Chopsticks on his channel, his name will be placed in the center along with Chinese symbols behind the name, that mean peace and nature. The social media tags of the client will also be placed on the side of the banner. The colors that will be implemented are schemes between blue and black using Adobe Illustrator.

Reflection
For my client project I chose to create three YouTube banners. I chose this project to be able to utilize graphics in a way that is going to be shown on a platform. I didn't run into many problems but my main challenge was creating different designs with the same theme my client wanted. To work through the repetitiveness I implemented different designs behind each of the titles and provided three different font styles. Another challenge I faced was my client not providing much information or to be as specifically as I may have wanted him to be. This project fits into my development in digital media because it allowed me to experince how working with an actual client is like rather than making projects for myself I created what someone else wanted. The main thing I learned from this project it to have good time management and to plan accordingly.
Personal project
For my personal project, I want to create a short animation that covers the importance of the use of plastic and how littering affects marine animals. My ideas were to implement the main character as a turtle going through a journey, as the year goes by things become worse in the ocean, and ultimately the ending scene will reveal the humans at fault. I will be completing this animation using Adobe Animate.
Reflection
I chose to create an animation that can also be classified as a PSA. I chose to do this project because I found the animation unit intriguing and I wanted to work more with it. I designed the graphics in Adobe Illustrator then added them into Adobe Animate, and finally editing the scenes on iMovie to add music and text. A challenge that I ran into is not timing the frames per seconds correctly, and that is what I would do differently with this project to have a better outcome, I would've made the scenes a bit longer. This project fits my overall development in digital media because it allowed me to utilize graphics, animation, and audio into one project.
